Just disregard any reviews that disliked the tour. They don't know what they are talking about. The tour was filled with all you need to know about AK all while having fun! It was a blast and i plan on going everytime I visit halifax. Recommend to anyone, anytime, that is if your not a cheap loser, who complains about $15. Awesome Time! HOLD TRUE

the tour was like a paid advertisement. My husband and I were expecting to learn more about how the beer is made process rather then watching a 10 minute movie/advertisement. And for a beer company that is proudly canadian why are all of their souvenirs made in china. We will not be going back or recommending this to friends. If you are just looking for beer save yourself the time and go to their pub downstairs.

I love Alexander Keith's beer, so when we were planning a trip to Nova Scotia, we HAD to make a stop to the brewery. I was sort of shocked at the price at first, but we all had a great time. In the end you learn the history of the beer and all about the old building that is still standing at the Halifax waterfront as well as a lot of interesting facts. The actors were WONDERFUL and very entertaining. The video could not have been more than 10 minutes long but I found it very interesting.

I am what you would consider a loyal Alexader Keith's beer customer who regularily ordered their fine brew at most restaurants we frequent throughout Canada. When we visited Halifax this summer during our holidays naturally I was very keen on visiting the Keith's Historical Shrine. So imagine the utter shock on my face when I finally found somewhere to park in the busy little downtown area and was told there was a special for $18.20 per person - that included a free draft at the end of the tour - wow what a deal! You would think they would be working harder to reap some good P.R. after their ad scandal a couple years back.

Alexander Keith's was awesome! It was a good combination of history and interesting facts and of course, good brew!!! Any opportunity to drink and play bar games in Mr. Keith's personal bar is a must see!

The 30 minute (YES 30 MINUTE)broken up by an actor who would step in at times was interesting as was the walk to the basement to listen to well sung songs however at the cost of the "tour" it was first and foremost not a tour. You don't visit the brewery but instead a mock up of brewing that your whisked through. If this interests you it is well done but too expensive for a video and a song and a taste of beer.

My Friend and I did the tour last evening and it was great fun. The actors are personable and knowledgeable. The video is NOT 30 minutes in length, it is 10 mins. The beer is terrific, icy cold and accompanied by great stories and songs from the actors. As a native of Halifax I am well aware of the Keith history however had never been on the tour. Not knowing if I'd be bored I went anyways and have to rate it as a "must see" when visiting!! As they say..."those who like it, like it alot"!!!!

Young actors play the part of 19 century employees with great zest and are accurate and well informed. A drink of beer is offered as part of the deal. Not much fun for children.

First off I just want to say that I really enjoyed this tour! As I think one young lady said during the tour "let go of your burdens and really enjoy yourselves". If you do this you will have a fantastic time on the tour. I think the whole point of this is to be unique and it is treated more like an experience rather than a tour, as if you are actually traveling back in time to meet Mr. Keith.

Visiting from Ottawa, my husband and I along with our two teenage sons were excited to go on the AK brewery tour. However, for almost the $60 it cost to get in, it was not at all what we expected. First you watch a 1/2 video, then you go look at some boilers, hops and listen to someone repeat almost word for word what was said in the video, followed by a quick trip to the bar in the lower level where if you're of age to drink you get two tiny samples, and listen to someone sing. Very disappointing and expensive. The really young kids on the tour were bored stiff.
