LOUD and short staffed
Love the history of the place, decor, room. However, at 1:30 AM it sounded like Pete's pianobar was INSIDE our room. Also seemed that there was more work to do than staff to do it. Same person who got our car brought up our room service! I know in this economy we all door more with less people. Overall a good evening-just wish we would have known about the dueling pianos before we went to sleep so we would have just joined the party!

Wedding Planner's delight
I enjoyed being so close to the site (Bass Performance Hall), but I loved the service we had. The bell people worked overtime for us carting all our wedding gear up to the room and down again. And the coffee service in the morning was perfect timing (though a bit strong).

Special Treatment
I felt so welcome and special at this hotel. The room I stayed in was very nice, but the bathroom was my favorite. My only regret is that I didn't have a chance to take a soak in the tub which was perfect for a relaxing bath. I'm a frequent business traveler and the extra attention was much appreciated - it sets them apart from other nearby "luxury" chain hotels.

slacker service
I was disappointed at the level of service at the Ashton. I asked for towels and a bar of soap and my request was ignored. I was also disappointed that the food in the restaurant wasn't particularly good and it was virtually empty.Management here seems to be a big problem. On a positive note, the beds are very comfortable.

Online reservations not treated the same
We were staying in the Ashton because of a building demolition party the next morning. When we showed to check in, we were informed that they were sealing the doors at 5 a.m. and were not letting anyone out until 11 a.m. (after the demolition). No one contacted us about these restrictions, although they said that they had tried to contact everyone or tell them when reservations were made.

Expect the unexpected
The personalized service sets this hotel appart from the crowd in downtown Fort Worth. over the years i have stayed at all of the 4 star and better hotels and this one truly shines. Albeit a bit pricing, if you have the option it is so refreshing to stay at a hotel where you are a name and not a number.
