Back to Canyon Road An Unforgettable Christmas Eve A truly awe inspiring night! The road was lined with costumed carolers, vendors and others spreading good cheer. I am returning this Christmas. I do not know anyone in New Mexico but continue to go every year. The place just speaks to me. There is no way to describe the smell of burning wood from the fireplaces, the scent of hot chocolate on the Road, the friendly shop owners and the number of happy dogs. Until I make the yearly trip I do not feel spiritually complete.

The stores open their doors (some sell refreshments), luminarios are placed on the sidewalks, there are carolers and bizcochitos and cider are sold; it's just an all-around amazing, fun atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 29 2006 Exquiste and Captivating! Canyon Road is one of my favorite places in Santa Fe to visit. I love to stroll along this quaint road and see all the amaziing sculptures and art displayed. There is no "value" here and rightly so. This is an art wonderland for those who appreciate top-notch quality creativity and work. Sculptures, canvas, textile, you name it- it is gorgeous! Canyon Road is a "must see" for anyone visiting this area. It is set up in the downtown area- easy to get to. Has plenty to see and explore and wonderful eateries sprinkled here and there to rest and regroup.
