Poor customer service I made reservation on the 16th of Aug for the 28 August train. I traveled from D/FW to Santa Fe to learn that the train had been cancled and no one notified me. The suppervisor was on vacation, and the ticket clerk could only apologize and say "this is typical for this office for some time, many folks have quit". The regristration book listed only two reservations for the day. Would you recommend this to a friend? No
Why? / Why Not? Cancled without notice or giving a reason.
They don't let you know when they cancle a train. I made reservations on the 16th of August to ride on the the train on the 28 of August. My wife and I traveled from Dallas Fort Worth area to Santa Fe and went to pick up our tickets. The clerk said "the train is not running today" and " they cancled it a couple of days ago, didn't someone call you". They had not.

Having spent the last year travelling the world on my own, I have seen many interesting, exciting places but none as peaceful, breath taking and magical as my train ride from Santa Fe to Lamy. Weather was extremely beautiful, scenery was so rugged and wild and best of all, the staff on my train ride were so welcoming, informative and ever so helpful! This train ride is a must for anyone visiting Santa Fe!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! User from on Jan 02 2006 Nice Afternoon We've been on quite a few train rides and this one was very nice. We went to Lamy and had a barbeque lunch. The lunch was wonderful; the scenery was high desert and the group on the train was laid-back and pleasant. The cost was pretty much in line with what would be expected.
