Back to Eldorado Hotel & Spa Great place to stay! Beds were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Sunset view from the room was amazing!
Reviewed by: Shannon S from on Nov 02 2009 The Worst Hotel Experience My wife and I travel frequently to Santa Fe. We were really excited to stay at the Eldorado for the first time. It was Thanksgiving and very cold and snowed. The room we were given had NO heat. Our room was like an ice box. We asked that the heat be fixed in our room. It wasn't. We asked again the next day and they fixed it by leaving the heat full blast. We asked again the next day (the day before we left) and it was finally fixed. We dealt directly with management and NO ONE cared. Upon returning home, we received a survey from the hotel wanting to know how our visit was. I decided to contact the Director of the Hotel (the one who sent the survey) directly because I was still upset. I spoke with him and he was suppose to contact me in a few days after he researched the problem. Well, you guessed it. I am still waiting for his call. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. One last thing, when making the reservation, I was quoted one price and the day we were checking out of the hotel, the price went up.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 01 2009 very nice We stayed at the Eldorado over Spring Break (Mar 08) and thought it was great in every way-except for the parking fee. The food was good, service good, the hot tub great and exercise room great too. Very close to the square--very convenient. We will return.
Reviewed by: D from on Mar 25 2008 Very dirty and old....over priced and over rated! We stayed during Christmas 2006, very bad front desk staff service. Rooms were bad, very old and smelled. Location was good, but thats it! Very expensive and not worth the stay. Staff was lazy, not helpful and rude in some cases. My wife, and two kids were very disapointed. Locals talk bad of the place. We will not stay there again.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 02 2007 Would stay here again The Eldorado was a very nice hotel. It has a fancy lobby with beautiful decorations and furniture. The bed was the MOST comfortable hotel bed I have ever experienced. The hotel is RIGHT on the plaza and was a 2-minute walk to one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Fe, Tia Sophia's. The only negative aspects were the parking and pool. The rooftop pool is really neat but very small. It only has one hot tub that holds about 5 people. For a hotel of this size I expected it to be bigger and better. Parking is mandatory valet for $16.00 per night. Tipping the valet can really add up!! We booked on Hotwire for $105.00 per night, which I thought was a very good price.
Reviewed by: sarag from on Sep 07 2006 Won't stay again The heater for the pool and hot tub were broken for our entire stay. No apology, no compensations were made. It was just a matter of fact. The bathrooms need to be updated. We only we're able to take cold showers the first day we were there. The hotel staff wasn't very accomodating. Although the woman at the information desk was lovely.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 26 2006 Not a 4 Star!!!!! The hotel was clean, but not a 4 star as rated. It is a convention hotel, which the rooms are in need of remodel, in fact the hotel has started remodeling with a jack hammer out in front of the building most of the day. From the Clerk at the front desk to the lack of employees knowlege of the hotel amenities. Definitely a letdown.
