Back to Orlando Science Center great place! dont know why all the bad reviews. I took my 5year old 6 year old and a two year old. They loved it! its not a place for old people yah your going to complain. But my kids loved it and if they had a great time so did I! Its a good learning experienc for kids and worth the money we all got in for 56 dollars. It was great i would definantl recomend it to people wiht kids!
Reviewed by: Amanda from on Oct 10 2009 Stay Away !! I drove in 65 miles to attend the laser light show. I loved them in late 80's. I built it up the whole way there. When we arrived it was sold out for the 8:00 show. The women at the box office was very rude. We purchased tickets for the 9:00 pm show anyways. Everyone there was dressed in formal wear for some weird event. Alcohol was being sold everywhere. The temp in the building was very warm and they had fans around with the doors open. It was miserable. Bottled water was available for $3.00 and the water fountains gave warm water from over use. They had food setup around the exhibits and dirty looks abound as we tried to kill time looking around. We took a crowded hot elevator to the 6th floor to see the telescope. When the elevator got close to the landing it ground and scraped stopping a few inches lower than the deck. This caused a lady to trip and fall out of the elevator. The people on the observatory level were very nasty. As a amateur astronomer I was very interested in the telescope but the rude guy barked at me that it was not viewing right now. NO crap Sherlock its still light out!! I didn't say that of course. I just wanted to see the thing. He wouldn't let me up the spiral stair case to the telescope but did take a well dressed guest and his family for a long lecture about he scope. Even moving the dome for them. Finally it came time for the laser show. As everyone lined up some women in the crowd decided to straddle the blowers Marlyn Monroe fashion and let their skirts blow up. Nice for the kids to see and the OSC employees laughed along with them. Of the course the show was delayed by 15 minutes announced very quietly to a few well dressed people in the front of the line. We over heard this and passed it along. One employee promised the show was cooler than the 93 or so it was out in the building. They were wrong it was warmer. The first thing I noticed was this is not where the laser shows used to be. This show was in some half dome room not the planetarium like it used to be. When the show started I was very upset. The audio sounded like a tin can and the show was like watching some neon on the sunset strip. People began walking out almost immediately. I was wondering if the audio was even in stereo. I wish that you could have seen the show from the 80's. It was amazing. The audio was the incredible it shook the whole place. NO distortion perfect. The show used the planetarium projector to give a feel of movement and bright lights that would pop off to leave you in perfect darkness until the stars slowly faded back up. The lasers would make a grid of squares so low you touch them then it would roll away slowly in the opposite direction the stars were going. INCREDIBLE. WHAT HAPPENED??? It used to be a friendly fun place. They are catering to the wrong people. Let the common people back in to make it a family fun place again. And if you don't want to pay to see the place just go on a Saturday night we were never once asked for any tickets to see anything until we got to the laser show. Of course we had the arm bands in our pockets if we ever got stopped. To add insult to injury there was a small professionally done sign from a sign shop that said the air was broke. They had time to print those signs but no time to order a rental AC unit until this one got fixed?? WOW I will be telling this story to the tourist I see everyday for a long time. For the record I was wearing a new pair of Bermuda shorts and a Izod shirt. Hardly under dressed in any other situation.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 18 2008 Ripoff with a giant R First we had to pay $4.00 to park. Next we only had to pay $23.00 each to get in because we are seniors. So far we have $50.00 invested and then the museum has the audacity to have a big donation box right next to where we purchased our tickets.

Reviewed by: sabrinap from on Sep 08 2007 laser light shows at OSC Rather dull because you don't really see laser beams, just the images projected onto the cinedome screen, most of which are corny. I wouldn't consider this a real laser light show, and it's somewhat misleading that they choose to call it that. Incidently, they pick some really lame songs for the rockin' 80's show.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 26 2007 Loved it! During the summer my boyfriend and I were trying to figure out something to do rather than go to the theme parks like we usually do. I've always heard about the Science Center but never went. My boyfriend and I decided that instead of wasting the day we'd give this place a shot.
