It was nice but...
Nice enough but we left covered in itchy bites-bed bugs from what I've looked up.

Very nice, quiet getaway...
I visited this resort in May and it was the perfect time of year. Honestly, it was very quiet and just what I'd needed. My room accomodations were more like a condo... living room, dining, kitchenette, bedroom and bath... it was very nice, and on one of the upper levels. The view was spectacular. I rarely saw staff and I believe that was because this was a privately owned condo. The beach is perfect, there's a webcam at the scuba shop down at the beach where you can go wave at your friends. The snorkeling here was the best... I swam with the sea turtles and beautiful fish. The sea turtles like frozen peas, esp. if you put them in a little ziplock baggie AND take it back with you when it's empty. They're very sweet! I do recommend this and I'm not sure why one fella was so disappointed. Don't let his review discourage you... this is a nice quiet place with a nice mellow beach, a restaurant and bar... also, it is a gated community.

Staying there now
While I'm staying there now, the only person I can blame for this is myself. The staff is utterly horrible, when I mean horrible, it's the worse I've ever seen. I have stayed in hotels and resorts all over the world and this rates as the worst. Hotels in Bangkok rated higher in every category than this one. I don't recommend this to anyone unless they have nothing better to do or have a large bank roll and don't care about anything except blowing it on absolutely nothing. While staying there I have witnessed then not changing the sheets in 3 days, the towels are the same I've been using and there is the funk smell within the rooms. I've changed rooms twice and on my first change I was treated like they were doing them a favor even though the first room didn't have blinds and had cracks in the walls and didn't look like it was updated in the past few centuries. It's not all bad, the service from Steve in the Blue moon cafe was great, but biting into a tough steak, although I ordered it medium, was the highlight of my families stay. Run for the hills, stay elsewhere. Remember those words, if you sty here you will remember a guy from Chicago telling you to look elsewhere and within the first 24 hours you will be saying why didn't I listen to that guy. Just remember their is a shanty in Bangkok that has more personality and flavor than this place and it would have only cost you roughly $40.00 per night versus the $300.00 per night including food and horrible service.

Paradise at Secret Harbour Beach Resort
I loved this place. The location is great. The beach is fantastic and the snorkeling off the beach is some of the best I saw on the island. The staff is incredibly friendly and the taxi driver Stanley is also very helpful. I loved the laid back atmosphere here and the Blue Moon Cafe had some very tasty meals. The Manager's Party was a blast too. Can't wait to come back again.

Will Tell All My Friends!
Loved our stay at Secret Harbour Beach Resort. It was beautiful! The view from our beach front balcony was breath taking. Staff was friendly and helpful! We stayed in a one-bedroom place that was clean and decorated with the appropriate theme. An enjoyable stay - will return and tell my friends.

Going Back !!!!!!!
This place is the best We were there in March and going back in a week (August.) It is a place for people that just want to relax and enjoy. Everything is so clean and well taken care of. It is beautiful, the snorkling is the best around all you have to do is walk outside of your room and you are there. Having a kitchen in your room is also a big plus, you are on your own time table. No need for a watch while you are there. Go and enjoy yourself.

Not bad for the price
When we arrived, the room was not ready well past check-in time, so we ended up at the bar for an hour. The view was awesome to say the least. When we finally got into the room, it was "as described" but their was no way to control the A/C unit. We called the front desk and they sent someone right over with a remote control to adjust the temperature down. There were some mosquitoes to deal with, but that is to be expected in a hot, humid tropical paradise. The beach was pretty, though it did need to be raked to get the seaweed off. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rob the bartender was great...makes a mean Bushwacker, a must-try beverage. In general the place is in good shape, but definately will need some renovations in the next few years. High Speed wireless internet is available, but pricey at $15 a day. The highlight was dinner at The Blue Moon Cafe, the on-site restaurant. It was an AMAZING meal...perfect in every way. Our French waiter was a hoot. If you go in expecting 5-star New York City accommodations you will probably not be happy...but if you go in understanding that this IS a tropical resort, then you will be pleased with everything they have to offer. Here is a tip that made our stay in VI even better...ALWAYS start off your conversations with the locals with "Good Morning" or "Good Afternoon" ... not doing so is considered impolite.
