Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 24 2006 Overpriced and rundown I stayed here August 15-17 2004 with my family of two small children after reading positive reviews, what a mistake. Although the place has a lot of children oriented activities which was a plus, the facilities were in poor condition, very rundown. Water in pools was dirty and discolored, bugs and mosquitoes in cabins, fireplace leaked and smoked up the room, bed old and shabby, broken equipment in game room...the list goes on and on. The resort is pushing time shares, and they seem to be spending their money on these buildings, which are NOT available to regular resort guests. I got the feeling they were milking this seventy year old facility for every penny they could get out of it. We had a three night reservation but left after two because we felt like we were spending $250 cdn a night to go camping, it was that bad. Of course, I was charged a 50% penalty, or $122.50 for not staying the third night, but was glad to pay it to get out of there. Also the service staff was unaccomadating and inflexible. I would not stay here again or reccomend this place to anyone.
