Back to Mafolie Hotel we loved it our favorite was the view from our room,s as we had several all overlooking the town, fantastic scenery, also the view, from the restaurant area which was next door to our room was beautiful. the staff was very warm and friendly. we will return again very soon since we are relocating to the southeast and it,s very close plus we now have family there.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 29 2007 Fantastic View The view of the harbor was great. Resturant was very good, but very expensive. Check schedule it's closed some nights. This is a older property so the rooms are modest at best. In my opinion rates are high for the condition of the rooms. I will not be a repeat guest. Other hotels closer to beaches with similiar pricing.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 08 2006 The gorgeous view does not make up for the horrible rooms and service Our room had a broken, leaking wall unit air conditioner, the leaking shower had more water pressure than the shower had while on. It took three calls to get any repairs completed. There is no complimentary shuttle despite being advertised. The pool bar is only open for the afternoon. The poolside cafe is a joke. The continental breakfast consists of the bare minimum to be considered any sort of "breakfast" and the front desk staff is so stiff and unfriendly you definately do not feel welcome. We departed early due to all these issues and were charged an early departure fee equal to one nights stay. Our repeated attempts to get a manager to respond to our outrage at this has gone unanswered.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 02 2006 Mafolie Hotel We wanted to be far from the madding crowd and this was. The manager was very accomodating, the bar and pool were convenient (tasty snacks and yummy drinks), the view incredible both day and night, and our room was delightful with our own private balcony. For an inexpensive(for St. Thomas) hotel - this was a bargain.
