Back to Pavilions and Pools Enjoyed the Stay My wife and I recently stayed at Pavilions and Pools on the east end of St Thomas near the Red Hook area. The hotel suites are actually all privately owned the unit we stayed in was desperately in need of a remodel/updating. The tile floors were cracked, the furniture was tired and overdue for replacing, the tile in the shower was missing some tiles and needed regrouting. The pool was salt water, but crystal clear water, with some green algae in the corners. The bbq grill was in poor shape and needed replaced.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 08 2007 Pavilions and Pools The villa was so private.. we loved that. The pool is amazing because it's right outside of your room. There are sand fleas all over the place at night (outside) so bring your repelant. You cannot leave the resort without getting a taxi (bus) ride into town. The roads are so narrow that you cannot walk down them. Red Hook is only a mile away and has a few good places to eat with some shops. If you are wanting a ton of service and activities then this is not the place for you, however if you want to relax by your private pool without any other noise then this is the place to go. Kids would probably be bored to death unless they love to swim all of the time. The only bad thing about Pavilions and Pools is that it is not beach front. We did have a wonderful time there on our honeymoon though. I cannot wait to go back.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 12 2006 A bit of Heaven! The unit we stayed at had a large bedroom, a livingroom with a kitchen, a shower for 2, a private pool and deck. We drank, read, skinny dipped, worked on our tans and cooled off alot! The resort is close to the dock, so we went over to St. John for the day (20 min. ferry ride)and had a great time there (snorkeling and hiking) as well.
