I like the unity of Songapore as they celebrate Racial Harmony Day! No criticism are heard by me in Singapore in my three months tour around Singapore! Wish you good luck Singapore and celebrate my love with you on 9th August! Boat Quay is a soothing place ahd crowded place when during special occasions. Bless you Singapore! And to the person who submit this photo: good photography skills!

Good Time
There is no shortage of things to do and if you want to do something else you are close enough to Clarke Quay to head there on foot.

Great Place For Night Out
Fantasic night out if a little expensive by local standards but no more expensive than back home in the UK. Try "Hot Stones" restaurant for an unusual way to have your meat cooked and then find one of the many bars have a Tiger Beer, chill out and don't be put off by people trying to get you into their restaurants or bars, a polite no thanks is all that it takes.

Good place for wonderful sea food
Restaurants lined up by the river offering wonderful sea food, thai curries, indian food. Everyone is trying to pull you in to try their restaurant with offers like 20-30 % discount, no GST, free wine or beer etc. The atmosphere is not the classy kind but not bad too.

Boat Quay restaurants
A very wide choice of ethnic food places along the Singapore River and very inexpensive too. Busy with locals and tourists alike and especially active at night.

Where the night life is!
Boat quay really comes alive at night, not much to see before dinner. Most everything is closed until then. It's fun just to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere.

Busy place...
Do you know, before we decide what to eat, we just need to say "no,thank you", untill we can find what we need to take this night. And yes, because there are so many choices here! Just walking down the boardwalk, we must have had 25 different representatives from different restaurants approach us and tell us why we should eat there. It can get overwhelming, but I loved the busy, buzzing atmosphere. And at night is when everything really comes alive. do you like seafood? How about some INdian naan bread? Or maybe some satay? Or Thai-Chinese, or some of vietnamese. You can satisfy every taste bud here. All the restaurants offer outside, riverside dining, and the service is exceptional. Your biggest predicament will be deciding what to have for dessert! Finish the night off with a cruise on the Singapore river. Enjoyed your dinner... ;D

Interesting to walk down
There's bars, and there's restaurants, and the area itself is really nice to look at. The food good, but not the best in Singapore by far. Plus, since your by the water you'll pay more for your meal. Oh yeah, in my experience I'm guarenteed to get hassled to try food every five steps (truely you will).
