After the American Revolutionary War, many Loyalists fled America to try their hand at farming in the tropics. This led to an abundance of plantations driven on slave labor on the island.Today, you can see the ruins of Charles Farquharson's plantation on this site. Much of the main house's foundation is still intact. There is also a kitchen and other small structures that you can explore. Admission is free.
