Wonderful Wandering
The National Cemetery was one of the most amazing places we visited while in Athens (let the pictures speak for themselves!!). The Acropolis and the Parthenon were definitely interesting for their historical significance, yet these sites are very touristy and crowded. When you visit a cities cemetery you learn a lot more about the contemporary culture. It doesn't cost any money to visit the cemetery, so if you have a small budget it is a great option. If you visit remember that the cemetery is still being used, and to respect the people visiting the cemetery.
