Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 25 2009 Beware, we wouldn't go back Asked a total price on the phone so we would be prepared. We took NO extra options and still the total bill was $100 more than quoted. If that wasn't bad enough, the limo was very old and the air didn't work. It was 112 that day. Not having a vehicle, we picked a package that the limo took us to the courthouse then to the chapel and back to the hotel. They called and wanted us to go 1/2 hour early and didn't bring the paper work for the courthouse so took us to the chapel first to get it, then to the courthouse. The courthouse had the paperwork. The driver was rude. We were dripping when we got to the chapel. We were handed envelopes for suggested tips of $40 each when we were told all was included. We wouldn't recommend this horrible experience to anyone.
Reviewed by: Anne from on Jul 22 2009 Should've done my research Chapel of the bells needs someone to schedule better. I made a reservation 2 week prior and paid the deposit. Despite that We had our wedding time changed from 12:00 to 1:00 pm and them they wanted to pick us up early, when we declined the early pick up they were 30 minutes late picking us up. We were picked up in a '80's model limo with no amenities. We were dropped off at the court house and told they would come back and get us. Another 10 minutes in the Vegas sun. We were picked up from the court house in a newer limo but it had no air. We arrived at the chapel an hour and a half late with guest waiting. the ceremony was rushed and they did not allow photos in the chapel. After the ceremony we waited another 30 minutes to be picked up and taken back to our hotel because the limo had overheated and they had to get a SUV to take us. I had to put my best man and his wife in the 3rd row of the SUV to get us back. For the money I spent I expected received better service. At least get to my wedding on time and be comfortable in transit. As the others said they stick and "tip" envelope and suggest $40 dollars for each. I suggest they do something to deserve that tip. Please do not buy extras if you use this chapel and go to the court house before the wedding day. They don't focus on service and will not try to please you. It is one of the worst experiences I've had and the deposit is non-refundable so once your in your stuck.
Reviewed by: LEO from on May 24 2009 Dumb people complaining Me and my wife had a wonderful time at chapel of the Bells. The minister and the limo driver were nice and a tip was well earned. I noticed the envelopes were mentioned in an earlier review and they called them "outrageous". Even though they also liked the minister and driver. The envelopes said "suggested amount". There was no requirement to put anything. The chapel is old school and exactly what I had imagined a Las Vegas chapel to be. Was everything perfect, no. But what in life is. Did I get my moneys worth. Yes!! Did I spend $25,000 on a traditional wedding, no. So I don't know what people expect when they pay 200 to 500. But I certainly got all the bang for my buck. And I would recommend this chapel to all my friends and a few enemies as well.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 22 2009 very disappointing The chapel was very nice. That's about it. We paid extra for video recording of the wedding. We paid extra for pictures. The video we got never turned out for some reason. The audio was on a separate cassette!! It was awful. The pictures.....they gave us a film to develope ourselves. The chauffer was the photographer!! Tips were expected and outrageous.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 20 2009 Viva Las Vegas My son was married in the Chapel of the Bells 3 years ago and unless the standard has gone down, we had a wonderful time. They took care of everything , and after the ceremony we were dropped off in Fremont Street for a great night out. Viva Chapel of the Bells I say.
Reviewed by: William from on Aug 09 2008 Watch for Hidden Fees The limo driver and the minister were nice, however, I found it kind of tacky that they shoved 2 envelopes in my face right after we were married saying the "recommended" tip was $40 for the limo driver and $40 for the minister, they also did this right in front of the minister and the driver. Also, I ended up paying about $200 more (not counting the $80 I laid out in tips) then they told me it would cost.
Reviewed by: Tom D from on Jun 11 2008 Great As noted not every one shares the same expierience. But When I went to chapel of the bells it was as close to perfect as you can get. Yes the cars are older models but they were well kept and clean. And the air did work. I'm not sure what a/c can keep up with 110 degrees and a car full of people. The driver was professional. The chapel was just what we imagined after seeing the movies. I came to Las Vegas to have a "vegas" wedding and that's what I had. I nice older lady did the wedding and said just the right thing. The chapel has an eloquent mini piano in it that just made it great.
