Back to Palomas (Las) we"re regulars Everytime we go to PV we eat here at least4 times. It is our first stop when we come into town. The food is great. The staff is friendly and quick. Mai Tais are the best.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 03 2009 No Good !! My wife and I researched from the internet and chose this restaurant. All the reviews are good. However, we are really disappointed the food. The service is execellent but the food is not so good.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 07 2009 Authentic Mexican Cuisine Having lived in Jalisco, Mexico for four and a half years, I feel I was spoiled as far as authentic Mexican food is concerned. I ate at some of the best places, some of the places where the average Mexicans would eat (Cuates Rosas)ate in the homes of Mexicans and ate at sidewalk vendors. Every time I go back to Puerto Vallarta I make sure I go to Las Palomas to eat. Like I said, I'm spoiled and can hardly go to Chi-Chi's in the States. The food at Las Palomas is made like the abeulita made it (my gilrfriend's grandmother). If you like something a little spicy and different, you have to try the "Pollo con Mole". It's chicken with a chocolate sauce that has hot peppers as an ingredient. I've tried it in different places in PV, but at Las Palomas, I believe it is the best. My stomach is starting to growl just thinking about it. The waiters in Mexican restaurants are the best. They never hurry you through so the next group can be seated as soon as possible, attentive, are gracious and helpful. Speaking Spanish fluently and having a beautiful wife didn't hurt, but if you try speaking a little Spanish, you are rewarded for your trouble, usually by added attention. If you act like the Ugly American, you do so at your own risk. The Mexicans are some of the most gracious people I've ever known. When they say "Mi casa es tu casa" they really mean it!(Just don't try to rearrange the furniture, lol.)
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 26 2008 Amazing Authentic Mexican! This place is not to be missed for a fantastic breakfast, or a relaxing lunch. The service is perfect- not pushy, just peaceful. The food is delicious, and at a such reasonable prices, you can't go wrong. I love breakfast here. The fresh sweet roll basket and giant mugs of steamy cinnamon coffee are wonderful starters to any of the amazing entrees! Can't get enough of Las Palomas!
Reviewed by: Lindsay from on Jul 17 2008 It wouldn't be the same without it! There isn't anything to not like about this resturant. The food is great, the staff is the best, and you feel like they are truly happy to see you again. At sunset, the view of the Malecon and ocean is beautiful. The offer nightly entertainment, and if you are lucky, the manager Panchito belts out a few songs. When I am down, I usually go there every other day! When I think of PV, I think of Las Palomas! They go hand in hand.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 24 2008 Yum!! I would have to say that this is the only restaurant in PV that I couldn't resist to dine twice for my 4-day stay. There are a lot of great restaurants in PV that it's just better to eat at different locations everyday. I had breakfast here 2 mornings out of the 3 that I was there and I just looooove the food! Cafe Mexicano is amazing, it's got a little cocoa and cinnamon in it and it's refillable. The pastry is great and the view is just unbeatable! I had eggs with machaca the 1st morning and eggs with chorizo the next. Both are great and the fresh o.j. is just so sweet and delicious. Definitely try their breakfast with their homemade ranchero salsa, I think that's the best dipping salsa I have ever had and it's great on eggs of all sort and even on their potatoes. I would definitely go back again if I visit PV. The service is great in the sense that people are friendly, but not very attentive since we asked them 2 or 3 times for coffee and it took them maybe 10 mins or so to bring it. I think it might be because they are busy as well... but I noticed that they'll bring coffee to the locals a lot faster than tourists.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 20 2007 Breakfast @ Las Palomas Hard to find a place open for breakfast this early in the morning and we were directed here by one of the few other souls awake at 8:00 am in the morning, what a welcome relief! The fresh pastry basket that was set at our table was delicious! The coffee was perfect and the view to people watch as the town started to wake up made us never want to leave our malecon beach view open air window table. We only reluctantly left the restaurant out of a sense that they were filling up and we knew we had one of the prized seats in the house. The service and food was A+. I can't believe I have missed this place all the other times I have been in PV. I will be back!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 11 2007 Great The mole enchiladas were fantastic and the flan was out of this world. I live in Sacramento, CA and have gone to a great deal of "true" Mexican restaurants, but have yet to find a place like this. My wife and I had 6 beers, 2 entrees, and 2 deserts for 35 pesos (including tip). If I were to go back to PV, I would eat there everyday.
