La Bodeguita, great place!
Love the mojitos, we´d so much fun! dancing all night, singing and looking the view... They have cuban cigars and a great cuban menu, I had the tamarindo shrimp dish and was pretty good such as the "Ceviche"... I´ll come back, definitely...

Too comercial!
the Ambiance is great, the live music is excellent, the "dance floor" is SO SMALL. the mojitos are not fresh AT ALL. the place is too comercial that the mojitos are already pre-made. too bad because the mint leaf is so dry.

Wonderful MOJITOS
This joint is simply fabulous! The atmosphere is unbeatable with views of the main beach and a live cuban band providing a matching soundtrack to your delicious meal. I've never thought of myself as a cuban food eater, but if you're going to be in Puerto Vallarta you have to check this place out! The food is simple yet so yummy. And don't forget to indulge in one of their famous mojitos.... I swear they are the best you'll ever have.

Malecon gem in PV
I just returned from PV after having spent 2 nights on the Malecon. On both occasions once I entered Bodeguita I did not leave the place till close. Great atmosphere, live music and and a lust for life that was unmistakable. The prime spots close to the dance floor fill up quickly but upstairs there is a large spillover area from where one can gawk at the dancers or get the seaview. Loved the decor - a giant collage of writing and pictures from luminaries that have blessed its spaces. Food was tasty and had large portions with potent mojitos to wash them down. Overall just a warm and inviting place with the right combination of rhythm, ambience and service to make your evening memorable in PV.

pleasantly suprised
the restaurant itself doesn't look like much, but it does have a great view of the ocean. Our waiter was very friendly. The food was inexpensive and delicious.

Mojitos or bust!
We went one night... a boatload of girls. The Cuban band was playing and it was not too crowded...yet. We started dancing and it started filling up, and the band heated up and we stayed 'til the wee hours. Everyone was dancing and sweaty and having such a GREAT time. The staff was wonderful. We all had so much fun, no one wanted to leave. So with that experience, we went again, only for an early dinner this time. We decided to order an appetizer and a drink, and that's all we stayed for. We got a sampler platter that was recommended, and I'm not sure if I've ever had pork jerky before this day. Disappointed by the food (hopefully just a bad day in the kitchen), but definitely one of the funnest night spots going... Check it out.

Whoa Nellie!
Wow! I love this place. The mojitos are the best. Careful with the first step. The tamarind pork is awesome and the ceviche is light, delicious, and deadly if you think those are bell pepper slices. Hint: don't chug the mojitos when you find out what the red and orange things are. View from the 2nd level to the Malecon is beautiful and breeze lovely.

What a neat place. We had a great lunch one day and went back one evening to listen to the music. They had a great Cuban band.

Our favorite on the Malecon
Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Service was impeccable. Had a great dinner. Had the mixed Cuban platter for a starter - banana chips, fried plantains, pork, meatballs. All were excellent. For dinner we shared the paella. It was just fabulous. The mojitos went down way too easy. The best you will ever have.
