Lushun Railway Station is the final stop of the South-Manchuria railway line that was built by Russian forces in 1898. Today it stands as a monument of sorts for its stunning displays of European and Russian architectural genius. The station's elliptic roof resembles a straw hat covered with pluming decorative tiles. As a testament to the historical significance of this station it is now protected by China's municipal administration.
