China’s largest man-made bathing beach (45,000 cubic meters of sand castle mix) formally opened in 1997. This sand-center sports a coastline of 1,378 meters which is approximately the same length as two Xinghai Parks, or three FuJia Villages. Besides swimming and lounging in the sun tourists can also wander its three sea-worthy wharves full of shops and dining options. Be forewarned, however, that this beach does have a tendency to get crowded.
