Until 1978, Edition Schellmann existed as part of the Schellmann and Klüser Gallery, but since then it has taken on the form of a publisher under the direction of Jörg Schellmann, with branches in Munich and New York. It specialises in publishing contemporary prints of graphic art, object art and murals. Between 1992-99, Edition Schellmann produced 38 architectural murals by 29 artists, including Daniel Buren, Dan Flavin, Donald Judd and Cindy Sherman, all of whom exhibit at the gallery. There are also works by artists such as Sylvie Fleury, Günther Förg, Imi Knöbel and Sherry Levine, to name but a few.
