It is an older hotel, but the sevice is great. Just loved it. It is close to the REAL Mexico. Not far from the beach.

This hotel was everything we wanted in our trip to Puerto Vallarta. It was in a perfect place, in the heart of Romantic Vallarta. The restaurants surrounding it were incredable, and the boardwalk was in walking distance. The people running the hotel were noting but kind and caring people, there for everything we needed. We had an incredable trip and can't wait to go back and stay in this beautiful hotel.

Hotel Posada de Roger is centrally located just a few blocks from the beach in the Zona Romantica--the southern part of the old center. It's a great neighborhood for walking--head north to the river & cathedral or inland to leave tourist-land and see the local neighborhood life. Sun by the small central pool or on the roof-top deck, reheat those left-overs in the community kitchen with fridge and write postcards in the shady courtyard. Ask to see your room first--each room is different--a few have tiny balconies overlooking the non-stop action on the street below. To avoid traffic noise, try a room in the back--perhaps the noise of Senior Frogs disco will drown out the traffic! They have safe-deposit boxes for valuables, they speak English, they're tolerant of all types & they may cut you a deal if you stay a few nites.

My family and I stayed at Posada de Roger the summer of 2003, after passing by other two hotels in two other nights..The price is right. The facilities are what you expect to receive for the price that you are paying. Clean and relaxing. They have air conditioning and TV. Two rooms with kitchennetteThe only two concerns that we had were: 1.- the noise at night coming from a night club behind the hotel.2.-They take a long time to clean the rooms. Sometimes we expected to go out around 2:00PM and come ack at 6:00PM and still our room was not clean. It seems that they don't have enough people cleaning.
