Back to Cafe de Olla The Best!!! The food was the best I had during my whole trip. I can't wait to go back!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 23 2009 Cafe de Olla is great! March 2009 This is a great place to eat and to enjoy the surroundings while visiting the old town of Puerto Vallarta. I had the seafood soup and it was excellent.
Reviewed by: JOEI from on Mar 13 2009 Best value in PV We went to a different popular restaurant every night of our week-long trip, and this ended up being our favorite.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 16 2009 Call me unimpressed With the lines always waiting to get into this place, and all the rave reviews, I had high expectations going in. They were not met.
Reviewed by: william from on Dec 13 2008 super I have been here in 1997 and I can still remember the ambiance and the great food. I still taste the shrimp cocktail and they had a very special soup, mmmmmmmmmm
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 31 2008 Noisy, but Fun We always eat at Cafe de Olla when we visit Puertor Vallarta - at least 2 or 3 times.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 09 2008 Try the seafood platter Delicious seafood platter! Whole lobsters cooked outside on the grill. Service is not the best, but we eat here every year while on vacation. No lines during low season.
Reviewed by: Heather from on Jul 12 2008 Great Mexican Food! This is a traditional Mexican Food Place with great food for a good value, if you are looking for a really fancy place with a great service this might not be the place for you. On weekends the place gets very busy, food servers are friendly but don't have enough time to really cater to you.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 29 2008 Long Lines The food and prices are very appealing but be warned that if you are a party of two you may stand for over an hour waiting to be seated. The restaurant is set up to accomodate parties of 4+. We joined up with another party of two to beat the system. There are many fine restaurants in the area that will not require such an unreasonable wait.
Reviewed by: William C from on Apr 24 2008 Like Authentic? This is the Place! For our first visit, we came upon Cafe de Olla by chance. Some well-intended friends recommended "Pepe's". Our taxi driver mistook our request for "Mr. Pepe's", and when we arrived, Mr. Pepe's was closed, and we were unaware that we were at the wrong "Pepe's".
