I was sad to see the photos in the NEW STRAITS TIMES on feb 4th about a Malayan Sun Bear cub, chained and housed in a far too small cage, so that it cannot stand up. Apparrently it is tied to a tree in the day for public viewing. This is a disgusting way to treat any animal. Why is this happening in your Zoo? roger brett Things like this just disgust tourists, and one bad image destroys a hundred good ones. Please treat this bear with some respect and put it in a decent comfortable enclosure

to all who wrote a review here..would like to advice tat johor zoo is one of the oldest zoo in malaysia..rather than just talking n putting up ur stupid review n saying that singapore zoo is better, y dun lend a hand to impore the zoo..so talking is cheap n doing is expensive..dun compare try to compete!!!!

Its cheap but the poor animals! This place is nothing but cruel! If you want to see a really good Zoo, cross over to Singapore.

I like the animals but i don't like the way they treat it...it's really pitiful...it's a nice place actually but no one is really taking care of it...so do something to make it a best zoo in malaysia...
