Also called Mawar Crafts Centre, the Karyaneka Crafts Centre resides within the MAWAR (acronym for Johor Ladies Council) House, a historic residence that has been renovated to preserve its original architectural richness. A wide array of Johorean and Malaysian contemporary handicrafts are exhibited and sold here, including batik, hand woven textiles, silverware, baskets, carvings and ceramic ware. The complex is situated about 100 metres from the Grand Hyatt Johor Bahru, diagonally opposite the Dataran Bandaraya.
