Back to Pancho's Restaurant and Tequila bar good food/comfortable place I liked this restaurant. We went twice during our stay in Cabo. Once for breakfast and once for dinner and both times we enjoyed our meal and the restaurant. It's a cute place with Mexican style decor and a mesquite grill in the center of the place. It was mostly families or small groups. The portions were decent and the food was good and reasonably priced. I drank the tap water here because the manager told me they have their own filtration system and I didn't get sick so I guess he was right. The service was very good too.
Reviewed by: J-BK from on Sep 20 2008 One of our favorites We have made the trip to Cabo for 5 years now and we are always sure to make at least one trip to Pancho's for dinner, “it is one of our favorites”. Very good food fresh seafood prepared in a variety of ways and very good Mexican fare. We have found everyone to be very friendly and helpful. Upon our return this year we will absolutely be making a stop at Pancho's for dinner.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 08 2008 Nice! The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. This was my first trip to Mexico and this is one of those places I expected to see, I felt comfortable as soon as we sat down.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 30 2007 I'll definitely go every visit! the last time we went we had the special which was yellowfin tuna. It was so goooood. Was like eating an awesome steak, can't wait to go back. We weren't the only one's who liked the place, it was packed and we still managed to get a table in just a few minutes!!

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 05 2007 I was surprised I read all the reviews on this restaurant and decided to try it. I loved that it was off the main road and was a quiet setting. When we first arrived our waiter took our order for drinks only and never brought us a menu (we sat there for a good 10 minutes) and when we asked him for one he seemed bothered. There were only 2 other tables occupied so he couldn't have been that busy. He practically tossed the menus at us and at that point I wanted to pay for the iced tea and eat somewhere else but I wasn't alone. My mother and daughter were very hungry so we decided to just "put up" with our waiter's bad mood? And again we had heard good remarks about Pancho's He was very polite with the people next to us? We would ask him a simple question like "are the enchiladas in red or green sauce"? (nothing complicated!) and he would seem so bothered?! We just ordered....I had the beef fajitas (good) my mom had chili relleno (she liked it I thought the chili wasnt cooked enough) my daughter had the chicken enchiladas (she ate them all but later said they were the worst she had ever had) - We did not voice our opinon of anything to anyone at the restaurant because we were there to relax and have a peaceful time. I try to be polite as much as I can and when I encounter places or people like this I just stay away from them.Overall I would never go there again mostly because of the service we received or maybe it was just that one older waiter? The next day we went to a restaurant where a nice gentleman was standing out in front (he is their host), we had met him a few days earlier and invited us in (but we had just had lunch) That was the place I wanted to go to originally.......well we did he was so pleasant and so welcoming we will always return there. Food very good, my mom had the filet migon and I had the chicken fajitas...excellent food and priced right. It is on the main road so a little noisy and not decorated as nice as Poncho's but we felt welcome there....the place is "Stop Light" and the nice gentleman is Eduardo. He is also the host for "las Quesadillas" which also has great food...We were in Cabo for 1 week and everyone there was so friendly with the exception of this place...we arrived home early yesterday and still cannot figure out what we did to get the kind of treatment we got from PANCHO"S ?
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 31 2007 One of our favorites... We stumbled upon this place on our first trip to Cabo, and had a fabulous lunch! We always eat here twice when in Cabo, once for lunch and once for dinner. The seafood burritos are fantastic as are the tamales oaxaquenos (try them!). They also have several combo plates and a fantastic selection of tequilla. Be sure to take a look at the rattlesnake in the tequilla at the bar, and yes, they sell shots of it.
