Back to Washington Park Yuppies and Prentension Wash Park was great in the early 80's before the Yuppies found it. Now it is mutual fund manager and girl friend of the week territory.
Reviewed by: Michael H from on Aug 25 2007 Great for kids! One of the best jungle gyms that I've seen in Denver. Tunnels all over the place. Good duck pond too. Conveniently located in central Denver, and has good parking. A diverse array of people go there.
Reviewed by: NicholasJ from on Apr 08 2006 Best part of this neighborhood I have been staying here at my brothers house all week. A run around Washington Park every day has been a highlight. It is the best part of living where he does. The pedestrian/bicycle only roadway is about 2.25 miles. One evening we even saw a fox while walking around the north end. We also played tennis and I liked the courts. A nice part of the neighborhood but not worth driving to. Find a place to run nearby!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 29 2005 Overall decent zoo I've been to many zoos and, although sometimes depressing, the Denver zoo is halfway decent. The monkey exhibit was fun, but at the time several animals were not viewable because of the weather. I'd recommend for the family outing that zoos are always good for.
Reviewed by: Brian from on Sep 29 2005 Wash Park has it all! Washington Park has it all! Beautiful gardens, wide green expanses, lakes and the best of Denver's outdoors. Pick up your running shoes or hop on you bike and head to the park. Keep an eye out for the gardens on the northwestern side of the park, they're some of the most beautiful in Denver.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 10 2005 Oasis of Denver Washington Park is one of the few great parts about the otherwise uptight, conservative city of Denver. People come to this green park to run and play tennis, and there are dogs everywhere.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 04 2005 Visit Wash Park any month of the year... I used to live in Wash Park and miss it everyday. People and dogs are out all day long, all 12 months of the year. (Even in the Wintertime, as it is usually always sunny.) The park is great for walking, running, biking, rollerblading, picnicing, playing basketball and more. Yoga classes are even held there. In the warm weather people organize BBQ's and get-togethers. Because of its size, the park never feels crowded. The neigborhood that surrounds it is very safe and clean, with lots to do.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 26 2005 This place Rocks!! Wash Park is probably the most beautiful place to run to get into shape or train for a marathon. It is quiet, clean, the people are nice, and I feel very safe there. The flowers and beautiful and so are the lakes and rivers in and around the park. Just being there makes you want to get into shape.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 22 2004 the place to be seen at your worst The people who go here are into activity, it's all about getting into shape even if you are just walking your dog. A great place to see the young lively people who live in the area, and where appearances are less important than a good attitude.
