Back to Cocowalk Great place for a Sunday afternoon CocoWalk was a great day for me and my family. I drove down from FT.Lauderdale and put in Coconut Groove in my GPS and it was great. We walked around had dinner and did some shopping. My wife was in heaven. The walk was very clean, people all around you were NICE. They had this small petting zoo in the center court for the children and I was suprised to find out that it was free. My son loved it he could not stop laughing. There was a good amount of things to do there and you should definitly visit the Walk soon!!!

GAP, Black and White, Victoria Secrets with some small ghastly old-lady Florida style boutiques mixed with others not worth mentioning. Did I miss something? The whole tour of the area (if you skip going into the shops) would take 5 minutes. Hmmm.

Reviewed by: Michael from on Nov 10 2007 Cocowalk is a fun alternative to South Beach I've got to disagree with the person who said that Cocowalk was a tourist trap with little to do. I live a few blocks from Cocowalk and I'm there all the time, for one reason or another. There's a fun atmosphere for young people day and night. Whenever my friends visit me here they prefer going out in The Grove to South Beach. It's safer with a more vibrant atmosphere. South Beach is where you go if you want the tourist trap and $20 cocktails. Older people enjoy Cocowalk as well, my mom loves the area and the mojitos when she's visiting.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 06 2005 fun atmosphere, but little to do Cocowalk is a small crowded tourist trap with few stores, but several restuarants\clubs. Movies are cheap here, but showtimes are too early (last show was at 8:30pm). Caricture stand and live singer (in Spanish) and colorful design gave the place a carnival atmosphere.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 05 2005 Ok in my book It's still a pretty good place to shop and an even better place to go to a club. It's no South Beach though - this crowd is younger and wilder. The parking usually rates around $6 to $8. But through-out the years, it keeps getting larger and larger. It's a must-see for any tourist that loves to party. If you don't, come during the day and enjoy the great shops. They're not that expensive at all.
