One of Quebec City's best-known streets, this tiny, narrow alleyway winds its way through the upper part of Old Quebec, just east of the Château Frontenac. The main attraction is the year-round display of local art, most of which is of far higher quality than one would expect on a typical tourist avenue. The original idea was hatched by fine arts students in the 1960s, and their spirit lives on in the fine paintings, silkscreens and etchings of Jacques Brousseau, Jean Cencig and other well-known locals.
