If the chill of the mountains gets to you, thaw your bones at the Miette Hot Springs. These steaming natural hot springs are located about an hour east of Jasper along the Yellowhead Highway and Miette Hotsprings Road. Apparently the warmest springs within the Canadian Rockies, there are two pools at 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) and a third that is a cooler plunge pool at 20 degrees Celsius. The admission fees change according to the season, and range from CAD4.50-CAD5.50 for adults. Group rates and pool rentals are available.
