This hotel was designed to evoke memories of the plantations and paniolos (cowboys) of the 1920s and '30s. Elegantly rustic, the lodge has wraparound verandas that overlook the ocean and eight acres of pastureland. Decorated with ranching memorabilia, colorful furnishing and works by local artists, the common areas and guest rooms are lavish. The main floor features a massive stone fireplace, library, game room, lounge, spa and restaurant, while the grounds include an herb garden and several walking paths.
