Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park is a year-round sports park located in the heart of Kananaskis Country and the Rocky Mountains. In the winter, enjoy cross-country skiing at the site of 1988 Winter Olympics races. In the summer, hit the dirt on some of Canada's finest mountain bike trails. Lessons and equipment rentals are available. If strenuous adventure is not your bag, enjoy a meal at the 'Kick N' Glide Cafe' or browse the souvenir shop and sports store. The Center also offers catering services and is a unique venue for corporate functions.

The Canmore Nordic Centre hosts this annual competition of mountain running. A challenging 12km trail race is the featured event and acts as a selection race for international competitions. The 6km run is perfect for more recreational mountain athletes and a playful 1km 'romp' is an ideal event for children under 10. No matter which run you choose, the alpine scenery and mountain air will do you good.
