Located one and a half miles from the canyon rim, this modern facility may not provide a view of the canyon, but it is in a wooded area close to the Mather business center and adjacent to the bank, post office and general store. A modern 358-room facility, it is said to be one of the largest lodges in the area. The 2-story East section buildings were fully refurbished in 2003-all rooms were upgraded to either 2 Queen beds or 1 King bed. The older West section has single story buildings, with 2 queen beds. Food is available in the cafeteria-style dining room. Children 17 and older pay adult rates. The lodge is generally open mid-March through mid-November.
