Back to Chateau Jasper Just a simple place for a quick stop Not luxurious or special, but reasonably priced. If you just need a place to sleep this is great. Didn't try the pool or hot tub, didn't have much interest in the restaurant menu. No complaints about the place as a whole.

Reviewed by: Jim from on Aug 07 2007 Never again! For what I paid, I got nothing. My secretary booked me for three nights. At that price I just assumed that I would have access to a gym and high speed internet. I had neither. Gym access was down the road and internet never happened. My goal was to get some work done in the evenings but was limited by the lack of ammenities.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 03 2005 Nightmare in the Rockies We stayed at the "Chateau" last year and it was horrible. Not only did they try to move us to a "sister property" for the same cost (the clerk was really nice and I could see it was out of his hands) but when I asked why this happened I received various answers from a computer error to the management overbooking to guarantee revenue at all properties being peak season. Which is it? The rooms are supposed to be large but we hardly had room for our luggage coming from overseas and trying to stay for 2 weeks. There is no laundry facility, no gym, no conference centre, no lunch menu, no valet, the movie we ordered did not work and my child swears a bloody bug bit him. Go to Jasper it is beautiful but enjoy it at a hotel that is located Downtown, not a 12 minute walk away. Apologies for the negativity but they ruined our trip to the Canadian Rockies at quite a cost.
