On November 4th 1995, Israel’s Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated at a peace rally by a student who opposed the Peace Process. In memory, a large memorial takes place every year, with people, especially youth, coming by the thousands to Rabin Square. In 2001, an estimated 100-150,000 people came. The evening involves speeches by dignitaries, including the Prime Minister and President, and popular singers performing peace songs as well as special songs written in honor of Rabin and the peace process.NYC Best Hotel Deals: 50% Savings In New York!
