I shoped in the Gum two years ago and I gotta tell you, if you go to mosow you must set aside a couple of hours or more to explore this building and the shops within. It is impecable! The glass ceiling, the variety of shops and all the interesting people. I bought some interesting dress shoes there for about 1800 rubles that are still serving me well today. Also, spend the rest of the day (assuming you already did the Red Square / Kremlin tour) exploring the shops around the area - north of the Gum mostly. Interesting shops, more interesting people to watch and lots of pretty women! Everywhere!! Enjoy your trip.
