Back to Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay AWFUL Dirty, old and run down. Not even close to the Four Seasons in Kona or Wailea. They are relying solely on the gorgeous beach, which is public (fine) with public restrooms (yuck) and rooms with florescent lights, mold in bathroom, horrible food. If you have never stayed at a Four Seasons, you might think it is incredible, but it is not even close to their other hotels. It is a dog!

Reviewed by: golfgrll from on Aug 24 2008 Beautiful Hotel This hotel is beautiful! My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon! The view from the rooms, the hotel lobby and pool are breath taking! The hotel staff is so friendly and helpful! And the food is delicious!! There are shuttles to the Four Season Lodge- which is a nice hotel. But this is definately the most breathe taking of the two!! This hotel is just a little far from the city... But the view and the service are worth it!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 29 2008 Beautiful! The only reason why I won't visit Lanai soon it's because of an attritional 13-hour flight that just ruined everything.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 12 2007 The heavenly destination A world class resort. We had a most enjoyable time there. The restaurants and service was superb. Complimentary beach service and snorkeling stuff available,so you need no necessity of bringing your own. Plush beds, large rooms with fantastic views, nice lobby with antiques, it is a most fabulous resort. Elegant gardens are perfect for an evening stroll. The welcoming staff will hand fresh leis and shell necklaces. Staff takes care of your luggage and opens doors for you. The magnificent pool with two spas are very artistic. The food is a taste from heaven. It is truly the PERFECT destination
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 08 2006 Worth every penny! Lanai was a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the city. We got exactly what we were looking for - sparsely populated beaches, pristine waters, and relaxing atmosphere. There are hiking paths near the hotel, you can see Maui and Kaho'olawe, and on a clear day Hawaii (Big Island) in the distance. Snorkeling is great, spinner dolphins jump out of the water, turtles may pop-up nearby, and if you're there during whale watching season, whales can be seen spouting water. They treat you extremely well at the hotel and try to accommodate your requests to the best of their ability. The aloha spirit is everywhere. You don't need to rent a car as the hotel offers roundtrip airport shuttle service for a fee, and shuttles are available between the two resorts and Lanai City. The city center was quaint and I envisioned it as how old Hawaii must have been. There was even a loose pet pig walking around the city square! The eateries in Lanai City were cheap and tasted great, a good break for young professionals who can't afford fine dining every meal.
Reviewed by: Brenda from on May 21 2005 The second visit of a lifetime I enjoyed my stay at the Manele Bay Hotel for the most part. The staff was friendly and courteous for the most part but quite dumb about local customs and lore. The food would have been acceptable at one tenth the price.I have rated the hotel "good overall"compared to Hi. in general.Hawaii is very over priced everywhere. My worst experience was the bedbugs, I was bitten 6 times while I slept, but the doctor gave me shots to help protect me from disease. This was be my second and final visit to Hawaii. Adios
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 11 2005 Laid Back Beauty If you want quality beach time, without fearing you'll miss out on something else, come here. The hotel is situated on the beautiful Manele Bay. Picture post card perfect beach, uncrowded, unspoiled. There is not much to do on this quaint tiny (I mean tiny, 1 gas station, no hospital, no stoplights) little island other than lounge at this wonderful hotel. The hotel grounds are lush and lovely and cascade down the cliffside. Rooms are comfy and richly appointed. A perfect getaway for honeymooners or a couple looking for romance. Not a place I would bring my kids back too. Other than the beach and the pool, they were board.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 09 2004 the perfect resort The Manele Bay is absolutely wonderful. We stayed there for our honeymoon and had a flawless experience. The service was impeccable. The staff was friendly and helpful, but not overbearing. The decor was elegant but not stuffy. There were many hidden spots to explore in the gardens and the beach wasn't crowded. The hotel is really the only reason to visit Lanai - there's not much else there.
