In 1966, Pennsylvania's Poet Laureate Samuel Hazo founded the International Poetry Forum. Since then the forum has actively promoted poetry, both in Pittsburgh and around the nation. Many Nobel and Pulitzer prizewinners have performed their work at the forum. There are three divisions to the forum: Poets-in-Public is the core of the mission, Poets-At-High Noon presents free poetry readings for the public and Poets-In-Person is an educational workshop that sends Pennsylvania poets into the classroom to meet with high school students. General admission tickets prices per performance: Adults $12, students and seniors $8.
