Located on the South end of Broadway Avenue, this Egyptian themed theater is large in size, but often packed. Sitting in a building that was formerly home to Seattle's Masonic Temple, the Egyptian has a historical presence. The Masons are gone, and in their place is a theater that shows box office hits, provocative and foreign films. It is also a major player in the annual Seattle International Film Festival. It is located across the street from Seattle Central Community College, and nearly every showing attracts an engaged, boisterous audience that absolutely prohibits apathy.
