Back to Carmel Walks Highly Recommended I've visited Carmel many times and know the town quite well, but Gale's guided walk was still well worth the $25.00. Carmel has so many delightful nooks and crannies that one is unlikely to just find them all serendipitously. I certainly discovered some new ones. As a longtime resident, Gale also provided some interesting history about the town and its residents.

Reviewed by: Connie from on Aug 19 2008 A Complete Waste of Money & Time Disorganized, unprepared, and unprofessional, we learned next to nothing about Carmel on a meandering "tour" of many shops of Carmel which any out-of-towner could do as well--or probably better! Save that $25/person and 90 minutes of your life, get a local map (all the stores provide free ones) and do the walk on your own.

Contributor from on May 09 2008 Lincoln and Ocean at 6:30 am For the last 12 years, a beautiful samoyed, a yellow lab, and three walkers start in downtown Carmel for a three mile walk. We circle down to the beach, along the path, over to the Point, and back to our cars. When it is dark, the stores are lit and that adds a soft glow. Two coffee shops are open in both directions from Lincoln.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 16 2005 The only way to see Carmel We would never have found all the charming and secluded places we saw on the tour. It was fun and informative. The guide was very knowledgable and helpful. We recommend taking the tour when you first arrive, as it helps in planning the rest of your stay there. Our dog was welcome to come with us too!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 29 2005 Recommend the tour! I decided to take the walking tour while my husband was at a meeting. I'm sure glad I did because I never knew all the history behind Carmel, plus I saw and heard many things for the first time, even though we'd been there before. Loved it!
