Heaven on Earth
My husband and I just returned from spending 3 glorious days at the The Lodge at Kopele. We already are very lucky to call Maui our home. But now even more blessed to find this wonderful "Haven" just an hour away by ferry. The rooms are perfedct, the service always friendly and the gradens just breathtaking. If God lived here on Earth, I'm sure he'd live at The Lodge.

A Little Peace of Heaven
We live on Oahu and our vist to Lanai was just "a little peace of heaven". We just had a wonderful, relaxful time. It was so nice to get away to a quiet, beautiful place. Lanai itself is beautiful but so is the lodge. The atmosphere is so mellow. All the staff were kind, helpful and so were all of the local people. I was sad to leave as I could have stayed I think forever.

Best Honeymoon spot on earth!!!
We went to the Lodge for the first few days of our Honeymoon and it was truly difficult to leave. When we arrived they invited us to afternoon tea and a seat in the "living room" while they checked us in and brought our bags to our room.

True Rest
I have stayed at the Lodge at Koele several times for business now when I have traveled to Lana'i, and I always feel so rested when I leave. For me, the highlights are the wonderful beds and linens, the deep tubs even a big guy like me can relax in, the absolute quiet, and the beauty of the grounds. The pool can be cold and the food a bit pricey, but the experience of luxury and privacy is worth it. The applewood bacon and wild boar were particularly memorable. Also although I am not a golfer, the golfing facilities are outstanding. Sometimes, it seems like you are the only person there, it is so peaceful.

Good Morning Mr & Mrs
For our honeymoon, my husband surprised me by taking me to The Lodge at Koele on the island of Lana'i. It was the best surprise ever. From the moment we arrived to the quaint island, we were treated with generous amonts of the "aloha spirit", reminiscent of old Hawaii. At the Lodge, we were each greeted with a lei and glass of ice tea, followed by a personal tour of the hotel. I was struck by the Lodge's rustic charm; it's architecture was a time machine taking me back to a time where I thought a minute might have lasted forever. I enjoyed everything about the Lodge, the amenities, the dining, the grounds. One year later, and even the simplest things I remember about the Lodge bring a smile to my face, like walking on the porch at sunset, when the sun casts a brilliant orange glow, or exploring the orchid greenhouse at night with my husband's dinner coat around me to keep me warm. At The Lodge at Koele, I felt like a true "Guest". Every morning as we passed by the front desk my husband and I heard, "Good Morning Mr & Mrs ..."

Ko'ele Lodge - I wish I had more thumbs so I could give more than 2 thumbs up!
My husband and I and our 6 year old had a wonderful stay here. Weeks after our visit I asked our daughter if she'd rather go to Disney (for the first time) or to Lanai, and she enthusiastically chose Lanai! She loved her pony ride, learning English croquet from "Mr Bruno" and playing board games in the Game Room.

Love Lanai
I'm from Oahu and love going to Lana'i for vacation. The Lodge has tons of activities that you can't experience on the other islands or even down at Manele Bay Resort.

A different Hawaii experience
A completely different Hawaii experience. A luxurious country mountain lodge settled into the Hawaiian rolling hills. Very luxurious. Very quiet. A very good time.

Stunning
If you are looking to take a vacation from your vacation then ferry on over to Lanai and land upland at the Lodge. It is just stunning. It is hard to believe you are still in Hawaii. It looks like a luxury mountain lodge, complete with pine trees lining the road. Every detail is amazing, from the top notch staff, to the landscaped walkways, replica mini golf course, walking gardens, etc. The rooms are lush and large, bedding is european and it is all worth the splurge. But definatly not for the family or thrill seekers. Shuttles run between this hotel and the Manele Bay, so if you seek ocean and tranquility you can have both.
