This thoroughfare has Stalinist architecture that abounds on and around it, nonetheless it has enough to intrigue any new arrival from the nearby airport. Here you will find monolithic buildings that dominate the skyline with their forbidding exteriors transgressed only by networks of oblong windows. Moskovskaia Ploshchad' (Moscow Sqaure) hosts a Lenin statue standing in front of the imposing gray Dom Sovetov (Soviet House) and Moskovskie Vorota (The Moscow Gates) also straddle the street.
