Back to Branson Scenic Railway Worth the experience If you have never ridden a train its worth it to say you have. The scenery in places wasn't the best but the staff was awesome and if you can just relax and listen to the stories they tell its a good experience. This Christmas season they are doing train rides featuring the story of the polar express, sounds like an awesome trip to go on if you have kids. My son loved the train and all the workers were wonderful.
Reviewed by: Jocelyn F from on Nov 08 2009 Glad I didn't wastte the money! My husband and our 3 boys were planning to end our little getaway weekend with a ride on this train and I am VERY disappointed to hear that it is such a bummer! Thank you! Now we can plan to do something else that isn't a waste of time and money. There is nothing worse than dealing with unfriendly people; I probably wouldn't have minded the lack of scenery or expensive snacks if the people were nice. But when the majority of people who wrote reviews had a miserable experience, I will NOT be visiting there! The management should read these reviews and be ashamed of themselves!
Reviewed by: Natalie from on Oct 15 2009 Horrible waist of money. Spend 24 dollars to look at trees and brush several feet from your window. Not scenic at all.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 28 2009 Horrible/tourist trap It was horrible-no scenery and no one with a personality worked there. The employees were as bland as the train ride. There were only trees and nothing else. I was so glad we didn't waste our money on the dinner ride-that had to really be a rip-off.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 10 2009 Chicken was good!! The chicken dinner (golden corral) was actually delicious but as far as the train ride if i would have paid for that and no dinner i would have wanted my money back.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 21 2009 DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME I WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT GOING ON THE TRAIN. I'M NOT HARD TO PLEASE AT ALL.....BUT THIS WAS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. ALL YOU CAN SEE IS ROCK AND TREES 5 FT IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE WITH A VIEW OF NOTHING ELSE UNTIL YOU GET TO THE END OF THE 20 MILES. THEN YOU TURN AROUND AND SEE THE SAME ROCK AND TREES DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE GOING BACK THE SAME WAY YOU CAME FOR 20 MILES. THERE ARE TWO TUNNELS BUT WHAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU IS SINCE THEY WERE CUT OUT OF SOLID ROCK, THERE IS NO WAY TO SEE ANYTHING OTHER THAN IT BEING PITCH BLACK. THE PEOPLE ARE VERY NICE THOUGH. YOU CAN'T TAKE ANYTHING ON THE TRAIN AS FAR AS FOOD OR DRINKS...NOT EVEN WATER. I DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING BUT THE PEOPLE IN FRONT OF ME DID. THEY WILL KEEP IT FOR YOU AT THE STATION BEHIND THE TICKET BOOTH AND YOU CAN PICK IT UP ON YOUR RETURN. THEY DO THIS SO YOU WILL BUY THEIR REFRESHMENTS ON THE TRAIN. THEY DO CHECK YOUR PURSES AND BAGS FOR GETTING ON THE TRAIN. HOLLIE OKLAHOMA
