Reuven Rubin is perhaps Israel's most famous painter. His colorful images have become icons of “Eretz Yisrael” (the land of Israel), as the country was referred to in the early the days of Jewish settlement. Utilizing his former home, the lower floor is devoted to his paintings, organized chronologically, with explanatory information. Upstairs are documentary materials on the painter and life in the country in his day, which includes a film in English. The museum shop sells reproductions along with other souvenirs.
