A magical place!
The setting is stunning- beautiful views of the bay. I never used my car for the 4 days I was there. You can walk to the Aquarium, downtown, the waterfront for kayaking, fishing, great restuarants etc. The host and staff were fabulous We requested a tour of the Inn and the antique car collection-very interesting. We loved the personal attention that is lacking in many b and b's. Rooms beautifully decorated. The evening complimentary evening cocktail party had plenty of delicious offerings. We can't wait to return

Not worth the money
Though it was a very friendly and nice place it seemed to us that for that money we should have gotten more. The room was nice but noisy. Breakfast was good. Location was good. Too much Victorian furniture to sit comfortably in room. Go there again? Perhaps not.

This place was great! we are going back
The negative review must have been written by a competitor. The staff was great and consistent. Breakfast (FRESH squeezed orange juice, omlettes, souflle, sausage) and evening appetizers (fresh fruit tray, antipasto tray and warm brie, wine, cookies, coffee) were very good. Hosted party on friday nite, billard table, wi-fi, house PC, daily newspaper, aforementioned views of the otters in the bay. We met a number a nice people at breakfast and we all hung out. We decided not to go the the Concours at Pebble Beach due the the cost ($350 for a pair for gen'l admission) well one of the guests gave us an extra ticket, seeing that, another guest gave us a pass and a ride to the Concours. The price was the best around by far.

PERFECTLY FINE-NICE FAMILY
I ALSO DISAGREE WITH THE PERSON WHO FELT THEY WERE "UNINTERESTED." THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY. THIS PLACE WAS VERY NICE, AND I RECCOMEND IT. WALKING DISTANCE TO CANNERY ROW, AND VIEW OF THE OTTERS FROM THE ROOMS.

Outstanding and relaxing
Could not disagree with the previous review more. A side note: Not sure how the Inn can control who sits at your table for breakfast. The staff was awesome. Took the time to answer every question my wife had and gave us a complete tour. Price very competitive to others Inns in the area. Plenty of food. Fresh cookies and fruit avaialable thru out the day; 3 course breakfast and all you care to eat late afternoon wine, pop and food. Very quiet and relaxing. Would recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

Family run by uninterested family
A family run bed and breakfast is a good thing right? Well just image if Paris Hilton was put in charge of the day to day's at a Hilton Hotel. Good luck getting any service. The first night we were here we were taken on the tour of locked doors. The MG display was locked, the jacuzzi was locked and the tourguide was too bothered to locate a key. At breakfast we got to sit with the same girl who didn't bother to look up or say hello to us, but rather complain to her boyfriend, dressed in flip flops and tank top, hair still wet from the shower, about her job. The breafast and wine/appetizers also left a lot to be desired. Definatly look elsewhere if staying in the Carmel/Monterey/Pacific Grove area.
