Good Luch and Breakfasts Place is generally crowded with state workers early and from 11:30 to 2pm. Food is good for English pub style. Pasties are very good. Sunday breakfast you must have reservations or you will be waiting a long time. Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes
Why? / Why Not? Good food, good engish beer
Not what it used to be I've been going to the Fox & Goose off and on since 1991. What had been a fun place to visit with old friends, enjoy a dice game and listen to a diverse selection of local musicians has sadly deteriorated into just another bar. It's ironic that a bar which claims to be a "traditional British pub" lacks the basic qualities which make British pubs so unique. I visited well over a hundred pubs during my years living in England and found most to be warm, charming and friendly. The atmosphere of the Fox & Goose more closely resembles a Hollywood prop warehouse than a cozy pub. Granted, the building is an old warehouse, but couldn't some improvements have been made during the 33 years since it opened? There's more to a real pub than hanging pictures and signs from beer distributors.
