Focusing on the Church of the Vow built in 1838, this was the Voortrekkers bargain with God for victory over the Zulus at the Battle of Blood River three years earlier. The museum gives a good insight into these migrating people, life on the trek. There are home-made toys and a collection of other embroidered and hand-crafted goods. Over the sunny courtyard is the house of Andries Pretorius the Voortrekker leader, and the guiding hand behind the Boer Republic of Natalia. An interesting insight into the local area and history.NYC Best Hotel Deals: 50% Savings In New York! Experience New York At It's Finest!JustClickLocal.comAlaska – it’s HOT!
