Dining at Golden Rock is a pleasant experience no matter what the meal. Breakfast and lunches are served outside under blue and pink umbrellas on the patio, while dinner is served inside the large stone building, once the kitchen house of the original sugar plantation. Many stop at Golden Rock to sample a lobster or shrimp salad sandwich while searching for glimpse of the green vervet monkeys that scamper in the woods nearby. The outdoor patio is delightful, surrounded by abundant local flowers with views of Montserrat beyond. The resident parrot, Larue will entertain you with his antics and Black Lab Bebe will greet you when you arrive. The indoor dining space is more formal with flowered tablecloths and indoor gardens. The bar is dramatic, set in an original stone stove decorated with Nevisan artifacts and historic pieces. Don't miss the mural and original artwork painted by Nevis' famous artist and portrait painter, the late Eva Wilkin. Guests tend to eat together, or may have their own table if they choose. Lobster is the specialty here, as well as many local dishes, such as breadfruit casserole, homemade breads, and other specialties.
