Great place, very clean, beautiful rooms and friendly staff. I loved room 201 which had huge windows, sounds of the ocean at night, and a very comfortable bed. I found the previous review pretty funny as it sounds like that person is used to sleeping with mite-ridden pillows at motels(?!?!?!). Sunset Inn didn't have anything of the sort, and Barbara was a hoot. Great stay, will definitely be back

We wish we could recommend the Sunset Inn in Pacific Grove. It's been completely renovated and has big, modern rooms and nice amenities like Jacuzzi tubs, huge flatscreen TVs, and fireplaces. It was quiet and close to the ocean and the center of town. It was spacious enough that there was plenty of room for our 15-month-old son's travel crib, and he loved the big bathtub. And for the price, it was great.

This hotel was close to the water, lighthouse, even dears wandering nearby. The room was small but recently remodeled. What we didn't care for was that we were hoping to enjoy a quite getaway and instead we had to put up with kids running around in the room. You could clearly hear their foot steps and everything else. In regards to their breakfast, I wouldn't loose sleep over it.

The location is great. BUT the inn is not completely refurbished and our room and water leaks on ceiling and wall; door to outside had space enough around to see outside light; bathroom tub had cracks in it and no longer had porcelin; there were 2 beds but no sitting space so you had to stay on bed to do anything; no adjustment was made on "older" rooms; no hair dryer as advertised and no plug in bathroom once we got a dryer; did not honor coupon for discount! We would not recommend this location to anyone and will be contacting them with our concerns.

i really enjoyed this hotel because it was just the right price and it was what i was looking for in a romantic get away. The rooms were very clean and the staff was helpful and it was not to far from downtown. over all it was just what i was look for a cozy little get away from the normal unpersonal hotels.
