Wish I was there now. Will definitely be back.
We arrived late Fri night and were welcomed by two the the friendliest and most accomodating men @ the door. They were very very helpful. From the time we got out of our vehicle we were treated like royalty. We stayed Fri night thru Sun am. The check in was quick and easy they were ready for us. Not once during the whole stay was there anyone on staff who was not friendly or helpful. There were 3 of us my husband, me and daughter. We had king suite with pull out sofa and let me tell you they were both very comfortable and relaxing to sleep on. We had slow flush on stool and called down and by time we had hung up phone there was a knock on the door to take care of it. They have the best staff of anywhere we have stayed and let me tell you we have been in the "best" of Alaska and the Pink Palace in Hawaii and this place by far exceeds them. The few from terrace is awesome. The staff in the gift shop very friendly. IF anyon comes to this hotel and does not have a fabulous time it is their own fault. They have excellent services for children and familie. I highly recommend all there is about this hotel and we will be back to enjoy. You really and truly hate to leave.

Internet and local calls cost extra!!!!!!!!
The Chateau is a very pretty resort. The upside to the Chateau is everyone is very nice and the rooms are immaculately clean. The down side is that for what you get the rooms are way over priced!!! You have to pay extra for internet and LOCAL phone calls. Come on the fifty dollar a night rooms off those amminities for no additional charge you would think that for one hundred and fifty dollars a night they could at least throw in local calls. If you have the extra money to blow and just want a weekend getaway this is a great motel. If you are planning a special occasion such as an anniversary I would strongly recommend looking else where. Don't bother to order the champagne and chocolates because by the time you get to your room the ice will have melted. Really check it out before you book the vacation the rooms are not worth the price and they nickel and dime you to death after to get there.

Outstanding Anniversary Choice
Went for my in-laws 50th anniversary. Used the free boats (canoes) almost every day, rented an excellent pontoon boat and tube one afternoon. Beautiful sunsets, poolside drinks, very nice room.

Top of my list!
The Chateau is on the top of my list for places to stay! I was on a week long trip with my husband who was required to attend 3 different conferences at 3 locations. We stayed 3 nights at the Chateau. It was wonderful. We had a suite with a balcony and a great view of the lake. The beds were comfortable, the entire resort was clean. It seemed that every time we left our room and came back, the housekeeping staff had been there with clean towels, no matter what time of day. On the mornings when I went for a walk outside the hotel, the doorman greeted me with a towel and a bottle of water! Just what I needed. I also spent a day in the spa. I had a facial for the first time ever and Mark did a wonderful job. In fact my experience was so great, I am seeking spas close to home for future facials! All of the staff was more than willing to help make our stay very pleasant and we will be returning. I would urge everyone to give it a try. If you don't like something, let the staff know. Every staff member I spoke to was very helpful. Note: we did not pay for the room so can not compare to others pricewise and maybe that was part of our enjoyment!

Not a Pleasant Experience
From what I could tell by staying at this resort was it was a wannabe Ritz Carlton. I have stayed at several Ritz Carlton's across the country, and believe me, this is not even close, even though it tries. The patrons actually dress up in evening gowns for dinner, which I thought was a little bit too much. You shouldn't have to try so hard to make people believe you are rich, but the patrons at this resort acted that way. Save your money.

Can you say Dusty????
Wow..because you think you are staying at the best resort in Branson....stop...it isn't what you are expecting! It is DUSTY and the buffet is not worth the money! The food in the cafe will not fill you up and it is expensive! A anniversary disaster! The managers...well..they just say.."Oh..I am sorry!" Yep..that is it..never going back and nothing good to say...Not 5 stars and not even 1 star..it was BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think Again
We went in December and the Chateau was very crowded and had a lot of loud drunks in the atrium that could be heard all the way to the 7th floor. We had to call the front desk on all the nights of our stay b/c we could not sleep (and we are in our mid thirties so it wasn't that we do not like a fun time). The bathroom toliet overflowed after a one hour stay. We were charged for food from the restaurant in which we never ate. Definitely not kid friendly. We will not be returning.

Had a wonderful experience at this Hotel
I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this Hotel, it was so serene and peaceful with it's beautiful indoor waterfall and live birds. It has a movie theater, an indoor pool and whirl pool, it has a play ground for children, and the view of the lake at sun set was breath taking. I loved the spa and the exercise room. The only thing that I had a problem with was that you had to pay for the internet usage. Other than that small detail, I loved my stay at this hotel, I'm looking forward to coming back with my family soon.
