If you are looking to escape the hefty prices of downtown and still have an authentic mountain getaway, consider this cozy gem. The inn resides in Basalt, 15 minutes outside of Aspen/Snowmass, on two private acres along the world famous trout waters of the Frying Pan River. The two-story inn exudes western hospitality, and includes an impressive river-rock fireplace in the common area. All four rooms face the river and feature antique dressers and a country style design. A restored cabin built in 1896, is also available for private getaways.
