This is the gateway to both Chalong Bay and the southern areas ofRawai Beach, Promthep Cape, Nai Harn, Kata Beach and Karon Beach. Within the vicinity are Wat Chalong, Phuket Zoo and a horse riding club. The bay, Phuket's largest, is unsuitable for swimming, but is picturesque and boasts a number of renowned seafood restaurants. From the pier you can sail to the southern dive sites and nearby islands. Chalong Circle has both early morning and evening markets which are worth a look.
